The Quarterly Survey of the Finances of Public Employee Retirement Systems
is an automated data entry system that enables public entities to respond to
the U.S. Census Bureau's quarterly survey via the Internet. The data
you provide here are the basis of important and influential financial
statistics. The statistics we construct, with your help, become part of the local
government sector of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). We prefer that you use actual amounts in completing
this survey, but reasonable estimates are acceptable if actual data are not available. We will not publish any
amounts relating to particular systems. The data will be used only for statistical purposes to assemble national totals.
Using this automated system, you may report data under the "Current Quarter" tab. In addition, you may provide or revise
data for the two quarters prior to the current quarter by clicking on the tab for any of those quarters, then click on the "Revise
This Quarter" button at the top left of the screen. Please note that data for prior quarters are provided for your review.
The U.S. Census Bureau has supplied you with the User ID necessary
to complete your survey. You can find your
User ID on the paper version of the survey that was mailed to you by the Census
Bureau. Your User ID is the 14 digit ID located on the second
line of the pre-printed address section of the paper form. The example below
has the ID number circled.
In the above example, Government Name "A" has a User ID of 01100100100000.
After locating your User ID on the paper version of the survey that
you received, please enter it (without using any spaces) in the appropriate
box below.
